THE DOG PATCH RAMBLERS (Boston) is part of a cooperative of musicians organized in Chicago by founding members Michael Henkel and Keith Kusterer.The music performed is full of soulful energy with roots firmly planted in the great tradition of American music.
*Swingin jazz from artists such as Billie Holiday, Cole Porter, Annie Ross, Ella Fitzgerald,etc..
to the *Country blues of Hank Williams, Patsy Cline,Dolly Parton, Grateful Dead, Johnny Cash,etc.....
to *Early Rock and roll and fresh arrangements of popular tunes such as the Beatles, the Band, James Taylor, Nancy Sinatra,etc.
The DPR bridges the generation gap and guarantees upbeat festivity for all involved! (and the repertoire list is always expanding, suggestions are always welcome)
The members of the DPR Boston are professional musicians with training from both the Boston Conservatory of Music and Berklee School of Music.
