Bio
The Doowops are a five piece band from Bristol who formed in 1997 and started out by playing a wide array of covers. Using these varying influences, they have developed a tight, powerful sound, with a feel-good fun atmosphere that makes them a huge hit with crowds wherever they go, including a number of high profile performances for celebrities including Heather Mills McCartney.
Recently the focus has been on writing their own material and they have established a unique style that sits somewhere between Pop, Rock and Indie. Their first single – Finally Found was independently released in 2009 and has been played on most of the major radio stations in the South West of England and was song of the week on Pirate FM. Following interest from Live Music Management and Gigz Management, 2010 promises to be an exciting year as they have been asked to play at a number of festivals including an open air gig for ‘Tanyas courage’ supporting James Morrison & Newton Faulkner and the release of their independent EP.
