The Doug Gordon Band is all about creating great and memorable songs; songs that touch your soul, rock your body and thrill your mind. Founded by singer/songwriter Doug Gordon, The Doug Gordon Band was created to support, showcase and perform songs from his self-titled independent release. Doug’s distinctive voice and old school approach, combined with soaring melodies and solid songwriting has opened up many eyes and ears.
The debut CD was recorded at Breeze Bayou Studios in Long Island, NY with producer/engineer Rich Belkin. Songs from this debut CD received much popularity and airplay. The song ‘Angel Of My Life’ was included in Car and Audio Magazine’s (JAPAN) promotional CD that was distributed to over 30,000 subscribers. The song ‘War Heroes’ was a bonus track on the release ‘Proud to be Americans Are We’ on Cooch Records. ‘The Hole’, ‘War Heroes’, ‘Til’ Death Do Us Part’, and ‘Oneonta’ also made it into regular rotation on various college radio stations and Internet radio stations around the world.
The current lineup features a mix of synergistic musical talents that reflect the effortless musicianship and high-energy live performance of The Doug Gordon Band. With 4 out of the 5 members not only playing but also contributing to vocals, The Doug Gordon Band has the ability and flexibility to carry the harmonies heard on their album to the live stage, giving the fans a full sound and amazing performance. This talented yet eclectic group consists of Doug Gordon (vocals, guitar), Frank DeGiorno (guitar, vocals), Ken Jockers (keyboards, sax, flute, guitar, vocals), Warren Kurz (bass) and Richie Kurz (drums, vocals).

The Doug Gordon Band has been playing the tri-state, New York area for about two years now, securing gigs interstate and generating an insatiable demand. Their live shows are truly an experience; they capture and energize their audience wherever they play. Their fan base is continuing to grow rapidly with the release of their first full-length studio-produced album, SPIN.
SPIN was recorded in 2009 at VuDu Studios, Parcheesi Music & Cove City Sound on Long Island with producer/engineer Bob Stander. Mastered by Grammy Award winning engineer Gene Paul at dbPlus Sound in New York City. This studio CD was created with full band collaboration and has already garnered radio airplay.
