Bio

The Downtown Fiction is a pop/rock band from Fairfax, Virginia, who formed in the summer of 2008. Their influences range from Green Day to the Rolling Stones. Their sound is comparable to Jimmy Eat World, Blink 182, and the All American Rejects. In the summer of 2008, they posted three demos on their MySpace page and the response was overwhelming. They caught the eye of Matt Galle, president of Photo Finish Records, with their witty lyrics, great stage presence and catchy chords. He later signed them in 2009.
On March 3rd, 2010, The Downtown Fiction released their first EP “Best I Never Had”. They have been working hard and touring ever since, performing at Bamboozle Road Show, Vans Warped Tour, and The Glamour Kills Tour. They have also performed in Japan as opener for We The Kings. Their debut video for “I Just Wanna Run” has been seen on MTV Hits, MTV 2, and MTV U. Additionally, their music video for "Thanks for Nothing", has also been featured on MTV. The television shows Jersey Shore, The Hard Times of RJ Berger, The Hills, and Keeping Up With the Kardashians have all featured some of the Downtown Fictions’ music. The Downtown Fiction also has three downloadable tracks featured in Rock Band. In a review of a live show with We The Kings, blogcritics.org said “The vocals sounded great and the band also played powerfully. In addition, all of the members had fantastic energy on stage”. The band released their newest EP "The Pineapple EP" in December 2011. The EP got a great response from fans.
