Biography

The Drain is a bunch of young cheeky brats blowing your head with their disgustingly overdriven guitars and nasty vocals that make the unique garage sound of this band. Their music is based on classical 60’s blues rock which is combined with later garage rock and grunge, all packed together in a raw wrap of merciless present.
The band was founded in 2006 and consists of songwriter Daniel Šubrt (vocal, guitar, organs, synths), Michal L. Horejší (bass), David Tacud Petroušek (drums) and Marek Mik (guitar). After releasing first EP and touring around the Czech Republic they released their first record „GET BACK TO THE SWAMPS, DEATH” in 2010, which was released by Drug Me Records and is distributed by Pale Music Int., mostly in the Czech Republic and Germany and which takes you for a trip into a noisy nasty world of sex, love and chemistry in the most heartfelt way, starting with the manifest “Here We Come” which builds a massive wall of brutal guitar sound and massages your mind with penetrating vocals at one time until the last song “…and the Death Has Gone”, another manifest of the band which forms the whole story of the album and celebrates the dismissal of the Death!
Now is the band touring with their last release “BOY BOY GIRL GIRL BOY” , which is an EP of 5 songs released in 2011 by The Drain themselves and Full Moon Magazine.
