The Dreamer

This music is like nothing you've ever heard before. Of course that phrase is so haphazardly thrown around today that it means nothing to read it, but I'm comfortable letting my music speak for itself. My influences are acoustic, indie and electronic music. I play guitar, sing, and operate a kick drum simultaneously to create an atmosphere that transmits the purity and emotion of acoustic sound with the drive and movement of a hard, steady beat. My songs are stories and worlds within themselves, chronicling my experiences and travels around the world. I am a concept artist, meaning I am a character of my own creation, and my goal as a performer is to draw the audience into my world, to enjoy an experience that is as visual, mental and emotional as it is musical.

Here is my story:

"For young Aaron growing up was, as it is for most dreamers, difficult. The world he grew up in was not a world suited for a child of his peculiar disposition. Worriedly his parents noticed his acute sensitivity, and unfortunately so did The Greys. During the day Aaron lived in a world of his own creation, but at night his dreams were haunted by The Greys. By the time Aaron was a young adult, the many years spent trying to fit in had produced a carefully constructed shell, an external perception of himself which he internally controlled. Yet the pressure it took to maintain the shell drained our young Aaron, and with no identity or purpose he found himself in a life that was not his, and with a mind at the brink of the abyss. Aaron desperately needed to know that the world he was in was not the only, and he had run out of time-his shell was beginning to crack.

This concept album is the story of Aaron's awakening; from his last minute escape from America, to his journey through the streets of Southeast Asia, and his return 3 years later to the life he had abruptly left behind. Narrowly avoiding the fate of a skinwalker, Aaron finally realized his true identity: he was a dreamer-one of many, a human naturally capable of manifesting their waking dreams(and nightmares). Adopted by a benevolent Ally, Aaron recieved enlightenment, a heightened state of awareness, and a clear inner voice to guide the use of his powers and to control the weaknesses inherent with wielding The Gift. Having been freed from the influence of The Greys he became The Dreamer, locked in an epic battle with the dark intelligence of the inorganic beings who are controlling the minds of human society. They are The Greys, accompanied by their deformed human puppets The Skinwalkers.

Aaron's story begins in the summer, a few years ago. It begins with this disembodied whisper:
