With roots dating back to 2008, The Drive has been tearing up the local music scene for several years. When they became a band in 2010, they had one goal - to do what they love (and maybe sound good at the same time). Fun, exciting, new. You can describe this band in so many ways. From lead guitarist, Ryan Nichols' classic rock solos to, drummer, Chris Hoose's Blink inspired fills - The Drive is an explosion of musical diversity.
The Drive has shared the bill with big names like; Good Charlotte, Third Eye Blind, Cartel, The Misfits, Sparks The Rescue, Aaron Carter, and many more. Promoting their music to the fullest extent and all leading up to the release of their debut full length record, Beautiful Disaster (Blasted Records US) in June of 2012. Beautiful Disaster was a main stream hit. Produced by Dave Ryan at The Pilot Studio (Gym Class Heroes, Hit The Lights, etc), its sound is edgy, catchy, and fun.
Only a month after the release of their debut record, The Drive hit the road for their first full US tour as support to Disney Radio's School Boy Humor. This sparked record sales and drove the band into higher popularity.
Currently, the band is continuing to tour in support of their record as well as working on new material. An announcement for more new music is highly anticipated by fans and expected soon!
