Bio

The Dundies are the product of four Jacksonville, Florida based multi-instrumentalists making the rounds in the local music scene. In late 2008, these four talented musicians merged their experiences playing in other bands with their shared love for the TV show "The Office" and strong faith in God to form The Dundies. Possessing all the trappings of an Indie-Folk Rock band, The Dundies have managed to fuse influences from the likes of The Decemberists, Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, Sleeping at Last, and Coldplay to create a unique brand of music not easily categorized. Their music can best be described as Americana & Indie/Folk, but with upbeat pop sensibility.

Every member of The Dundies challenge themselves to play every instrument on stage and strive for creative ways to add new instruments to their performances, an aspect of their live show that keeps audiences interested. Between their acoustic melodies and full rock band sound, The Dundies always keep the crowd on their toes and leaning in. Their performances have earned them local praise and they are quickly establishing themselves as one of northeast Florida's standout acts. They have shared the stage with national recording acts such as Sanctus Real, Between The Trees, Phil Wickham, & Tal & Accia and are in huge demand to play festivals and venues throughout the greater Jacksonville area. They are now setting their sights on the national stage.

The Dundies have just finished their first full length album: "Coal Mine Canary". A record that carries a diverse and powerful statement about love, life and redemption. It's full of energy, tension, and beauty; raw but lovely, lush but stripped. It stresses the band's folk-rock song craft, but it also captures the kind of jamming and improvising that happens when musicians become keenly tuned to one another.
