Bio

The Dustin Pittsley Band has long been a household name in Tulsa, a hotbed of eclectic music for several years. The DPB’s sound is best described as a blues influenced roots rock with a dash of that “Tulsa Sound.” Dustin’s searing guitar, warmth and passion on stage draws fans of all ages and particular musical preferences.
Dustin and band have won a multitude of awards, the most prestigious being the 2010 Beale Street Blues Kings Award at the International Blues Challenge. They will represent the Blues Society of Tulsa at the International Blues Challenge for the fourth time this January. Dustin was also named one of Urban Tulsa’s 2011 “Hot 100” movers and shakers from all walks of life. The release of Dustin’s 4th CD, “Palm Trees & Trailer Parks”, coincided with a five show Jagermeister tour with country star Dierks Bentley last year. He has also opened for or shared the stage with Buddy Guy, Delbert McClinton, Tab Benoit, Indigenous, Arlo Guthrie, Chris Duarte, Watermelon Slim and Bernard Allison. A live CD, just released, precedes his 5th CD recently completed at Church Studio in Tulsa.

Regarded as a genuine and modest man, fellow musicians easily extoll his virtues:
Singer/songwriter Ian Moore, who has played with the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and ZZ Top calls him “a great talent and a gentleman. Dustin has the kind of soul that you need to be a real player. When he sings and plays it’s not just his voice and hands, it’s his soul talking through them, and that makes it a special thing.”

Fellow Tulsan, David Teegarden, Grammy award winner for Bob Seger’s “Against the Wind” who has also worked with J.J. Cale, Eric Clapton and Joe Walsh: “I certainly think very highly of Dustin's music! His style and approach coupled with his great personality all add up to his upcoming success.
“I have known Dustin now I think for about 8 plus years,” says Brad Harris, Production Manager at the world famous Cain’s Ballroom. “Dustin has gone from being a great upcoming guitar player to one that will steal the show from anyone who is on the bill for that night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“Dustin is what we old school folks call a natural born player”, per John Catt, founder of Blue Star Connection, Grand County Blues Society and Blues from the Top. “Very few of your guitar heroes outplay this young gun!”

Jon Schroeder, Producer/Engineer at Church Studios : “Pittsley's old soul can convert a new listener to loyal fan in just a few songs. I'm not sure if it's the voice, songwriting or the crowd having a good time. You'd be hard pressed to see his show without an encore fueled by a demanding audience. He's just got "IT".
Paul Dyer, Dickens Opera House, Colorado: “Dustin Pittsley bleeds Southern Blues. He honors his predecessors, never ripping them off and he is as humble as he is talented….Dustin is a guitar-wielding force to be reckoned with. In the simplest terms, Dustin Pittsley, on stage, is joy.”

"This established stunning talent with his showmanship and sincere love for music brings his fans back again and again from near and far. Dustin Pittsley is a very humble, charming, and compassionate man, minus an ego! When Dustin takes the stage, his catchy, introspective lyrics layered on top of his powerful, yet tasteful guitar licks, are bound to stick in your head and make your feet move. ~ Carla Jordan, Ziggies Live Music, Denver.
