Dusty Roads Band is a splendid blend of great musicianship and great music in which Blues, Folk, Funk, Rock, Country, Jazz and Reggae all fuse into a unique blend of Rocking Prairie Soul Roots Music.
As leader of The Dusty Roads Band, Dustin Harder creates a stylish guitar tone that evokes the masterful attitude of cats like former Fleetwood Mac-er Peter Green, and that alone is a rarity.

The Dusty Roads Band is a splendid blend of great musicianship and great music in which Blues, Folk, Funk, Rock, Country, Jazz and Reggae all fuse into a unique blend of Rocking Prairie Soul Roots Music.

Of his debut album Searchin' For A River (2009), here is what critics have to say:

"This group of talented musicians has hit a home run, first time out."

- Manitoba Blues News Magazine

"As leader of The Dusty Roads Band, Dustin Harder is working hard to carve out a unique niche for himself in a glutted musical landscape and the debut album Searchin' for a River finds him perfectly situated to make a big impact on that scene. What keeps him suspended above the more commonplace 12-bar dudes is his ability to create a stylish guitar tone that evokes the masterful attitude of cats like former Fleetwood Mac-er Peter Green, and that alone is a rarity."

- Jeff Monk, Winnipeg Free Press

"Versatility is like personality: It goes a long way. It goes even farther when you have both, like this eclectic outfit led by singer/songwriter/guitarist Dustin Harder."

- Darryl Sterdan, Winnipeg Sun of their live performance.

"Wow! I was blown away!"

- Lynn Munilla, Festival du Voyageur.

"The passion and intensity that Dustin Harder pulls through his guitar is immediately apparent.,

- Matt DuBoff, Artistic Director Brandon Folk Music and Arts Festival.

Can't Give Up On Your Love

Written By: Dustin Rene Antoine Harder

We've been taught and we've been shown but we opt not doin' what we're told, so you're givin' here this chance today to consider this when we'd say,

Listin to your heart and soul it will guide you farther than you may know oh you're givin' here this chance today to consider this when we sing.

"Some things do and some things don't , all things can but sometimes won't, still you're givin' here this chance today to consider this when we sing.

Listin to your heart and soul it will guide you farther than you may know oh you're givin' here this chance today to consider this when we sing.

Where has the time gone? It only exists in memory.

Listin to your heart and soul it will guide you farther than you may know oh you're givin' here this chance today to consider this when I'd sing.

I Can't Give Up On Your Love.
I won't give up on your love.
I can't give up on your love.
I won't give up on your love.

Where has the time gone? It only exists in memory.
Where has the time gone?
And when will we all decide to wake from this mistake, I know we've gone and done things wrong.

But, I Can't Give Up On Your Love.
I won't give up on your love.
I can't give up on your love.
I won't give up on your love.
I can't give up on your love.
I won't give up on your love.
I can't give up on your love.
I won't give up on your love.

Goin' Away

Written By: Dustin Harder

Goin' Away

Well, said crazy, that's how it's been. Been watching and waiting for another fellow to fall.
I've searched every side street, just for a glimpse of you
But there ain't nothin I would'nt do
just to be with you.

Well,I've searched every side street, just for a trace of you
but I could'nt find a damn thing to lead me.
Well, I said over and over and over again,
I find myself,
holdin' on to a past that will never
Will never come again.

Well, I've searched every side street, just for a trace of you
but I could'nt find a damn thing to lead me.
Well, I said over and over and over again,
I find myself,
holdin' on to a past that will never
Will never come again.

And I find myself Goin' away away
And I find myself Goin' away
And I find myself Goin' away away
And I find myself Goin' away

So Confused

Written By: Dustin Harder

So Confused

I know you,
so confused
You'd been wronged
and you've been battered and bluesed

Lost your soul,
this I know
And now you're hiding on the dark side of the moon

I know you,
love so true
I feel your touch in the days that we never knew

But I let you go
long before
And now you're hiding on the dark side of the moon

I let you go
long before
And now you're hiding on the dark side of the moon

I know you, love so true
I feel your touch in the days that we never knew

But I let you go
long before
And now you're hiding on the dark side of the moon

I let you go
long before
And now you're hiding on the dark side of the moon

Searchin' for a River

Written By: Dustin Harder

Searchin' For A River

I've been searchin for a river,
Cool river's gonna wash my blues away.
I've been searchin' for a river,
Gonna' drown my blues away,
If I don't find a river somehow,
these blues will surely make me pay.

I've been searchin' for a woman,
Good woman make me wanna stay,
Lord, I need a woman,
Good woman take away all my pain,
If I don't find that woman somehow,
my life is surely gonna be in vain.

Won't someone come and take my hand,
and help set me free
Won't someone come and take my hand,
and help set me free
If no one come and take my hand
these blues will surely be the death of me.

Ain't No Grave

Written By: Traditional

Ain't No Grave
There ain't no grave That's gonna hold my body down , ain't no grave is gonna hold my body down . when I hear that trumpet sound I'm gonna get up out of the ground ain't no grave is gonna hold my body down no.
Go down yonder Gabriel put your foot on land and sea , now blow your trumpet boy until you hear from me . I looked way over yonder tell me what did I see , I see a band of angel's calling after me . Then I looked way down the river saw the people dressed in white i knew it was God's people i saw them doing right.
There ain t no grave That's gonna hold my body down , ain't no grave is gonna hold my body down . When i hear that trumpet sound I'm gonna get up out of the ground ain't no grave is gonna hold my body down no .
I'm gonna go to the river Jordan gonna bury my knees in sand , Hollered o' Hosanna till i reach the promise land
I looked way over yonder tell me what did I see, I see a band of angels calling after me . Then I said meet me Jesus meet me meet me in the middle of the air if these wings should fail me I'll need another pair .
There ain't no grave that's gonna hold my body down , ain't no grave is gonna hold my body down . When I hear that trumpet sound I'm gonna get up out of the ground ain't no grave is gonna hold my body down no.
There ain't no grave that's gonna hold my body down , ain't no grave is gonna hold my body down . When I hear that trumpet sound I'm gonna get up out of the ground ain't no grave is gonna hold my body down . There ain't no grave thats gonna hold my body down .

Top Of The World

Written By: Dustin Harder

Top of the world

I'm on the road to riches
nothin' stopin' me from missin'
I'm headed in the right direction
Ain't nothin' gonna stop me now

We've got a job
We've played the bar
No worries man
We're goin' far
No excuses, No regrets
We're in control
and better yet
we've got desire on our minds
Got desrire all the time
got desire on our minds
sure been a long time

We're on our way to the top of the world
Ain't nothin' gonna bring me down
I'm in the arms of a beautiful girl
the only one love I've found
We're on our way to the top of the world
ain't nothin' gonna bring us down
ain't nothin' gonna bring us down

Here I go,
another night again
gonna play the guitar
with my friends
Wishin' Ma and Pa were here to see
this is..yeah this is the life for me

We're on our way to the top of the world
Ain't nothin' gonna bring me down
I'm in the arms of a beautiful girl
the only one love I've found

We're on our way to the top of the world
ain't nothin' gonna bring us down
ain't nothin' gonna bring us down
ain't nothin' gonna bring us down
ain't nothin' gonna bring us down

Harder Road Travelled

It's a Harder road we're travellin' on
it's a Harder road we roam
It's a Harder road we're travellin' on
It's a Harder road we roam

Love don't love nobody
love don't love my kind
Love don't love nobody like me
so I best be movin' down the line
Down the line
I best be movin down the line

It's a Harder road we're travellin' on
it's a Harder road we roam
It's a Harder road we're travellin' on
It's a Harder road we roam

People, they've all talked about me
Said I was doin' you wrong
Love don't love nobody like me
so I best be movin' on and on
on and on
I best be movin' on and on.

Love don't love nobody
love don't love my kind
Love don't love nobody like me
so I best be movin' down the line
Down the line
I best be movin down the line

People, They've all talked about me

Killin' Time

Killin' Time

Your killin' time with me
Yeah your killin' time with me
your killin' time with me pretty lady
Yeah your killin' time with me
Although I know you've done me wrong
I just can't let you be
Aww your killin' time with me.

Now that you've got me standin' here and you're diggin' us a hole.
you know there ain't no doubt about it.
Submissive ain't a man it's about time you understand the score
Submissive ain't a man it's about time I let you know...
ooohhhh lord
your killin' time with me

Yeah your killin' time with me
your killin' time with me pretty lady
Yeah your killin' time with me

Now that you've got me standin' here and you're diggin' us a hole.
you know there ain't no doubt about it.
Submissive ain't a man it's about time you understand the score
Submissive ain't a man it's about time I let you go...
ooohhhh lord
your killin' time with me

Howlin' Wind(Telephone Song)

Written By: Dustin Harder

Howlin' Wind(Telephone song)

I called my baby last night on the telephone,
I called my baby last night on the telephone,
when my baby spoke I knew something was wrong,
So i packed my bags and headed on the road
I packed my things and I headed on for home
and when I arrived my baby was not alone
she was with another man
a much older man
another man
I can't understand
why my baby, she'd need another man

i said baby why'd you do this to me
I was only gone about a week
she said I'm lonenly when you are not around
so I gave her up and headed outta town

Now I'm on the road and back behind the wheel
I'm on the road and back behind the wheel
I'm gonna drive this road till my heart begins to heal
I'm gonna find me another woman and another home
find me another woman and another home
then i saw her standin' there beside the road

i said, Baby can I offer you a ride
She said, Baby can I trust you with my life
I said, Sure ya can come on now hope on in
and we blew away just like the Howlin' Wind
Ya we blew away just like the Howlin, wind
