The Dutchess's music is a unique combination of modern rock with a touch of soulfulness that puts her in a category all her own. Since starting her label 621 MusicGroup in the early nineties she has collaborated with artists from every genre of music. While maintaining sole ownership of her publishing, music and likeness ( truly making 621 MusicGroup a real Independent Label )she has also extended her expertise in the music field to help other Indie artist/well known entertainers learn the business side of their craft.
The Dutchess is a true oxymoron of the industry she is a black woman who sings rock. A female label owner in an industry dominated by males, is probably and most definitely one of the only labels run by a mother and her children. In a world where parents give up everything to back their children's dream, in the true Dutchess form the children are putting all towards their mothers dream.
The Dutchess is known as" The Crown Jewel of America" is bringing all ages and races together for the love of music.
