"Delaware Radio Station"

“David's music is a lot of fun, with clever lyrics and catchy melodies that will get stuck in your head after one listen. On his album "The DVD," David offers a wide variety of musical styles that show what a skillful musician he is, and keep you listening until the end and possibly through a second listen."
- -Mark Rogers (WSTW 93.7)

"Steel City Coffee House"

"David V. Dougherty, affectionately know as The DVD, is heavily involved in the Phoenixville Arts Community and performs during street festivals and hosts the popular open mic at Steel City Coffee House. His 2005 release, titled the DVD, was produced by engineer Tim Sonnefeld (of Townhall fame). It is an example of his fine work and has received some radio play. David continues to promote himself by playing gigs nearly every weekend and has established a strong local following."

- -Jane M. Tucker, Steel City Coffee House

"Chaplin's"

"What a surprising musicial pleasure! David V Dougherty was what made the night outstanding for Chaplin's on December 15. Right from the start, the audience was drawn to David's energy and ability to make a connection to everyone. His music and lyrics are full of fun and warmth - no clutter. I can't wait for his return to Chaplin's. We were lucky to have him."

- -Lee Zagorski (Chaplin's: The Music Cafe)

"the nail"

"Radio Friendly I Absolutely Got Their Music...Even The Scooby Doo Song Look For It. I Loved The Lyrics And Catchiness Of Each Individual Song. The Prepared Set Was Professional And Moved Along Smoothly. Fun Songs That Had Your Head Nodding Or Foot Tapping. Good Vocals To Good Performance."
- -Chris, the Nail

Discography

DVD currently has 2 full length CD's available; 'The DVD' released in 2005 & 'Road Closed' released in 2008. 'Road Closed' is a double CD, which includes one disc of live "singer/songwriter" style songs & the second containing ambient & experimental music.

DVD is almost ready to release his new album 'The Initials'. A couple songs from this new album have been uploaded to various social networking music sites. These songs combine elements of his singer/songwriter past with the experimental & ambient music, to create his thick, multilayered sound. 'The Initials' is due to be released in 2011.
