The Early Grey Band

Harry de Waij was/is a very successful Amsterdam businessman who never lost his love for music and finally after many years decided to record his own compositions which at the time were all instrumental but a funny thing happened when he got to the studio, after a few tracks, the sound engineer forced him to sing and to his shock when he listened to the session, he discovered that not only was it not awful but in fact it was quite good. That sent Harry on a journey to first write and record a solo record which he released in 2001 called Say No More but also realize that to be successful he needed the robust sound of a full band and thus was born the Early Grey Band. Harry's writing in conjunction with Joost van Leeuwen captured the influences of many of his favorite musicians such as David Gilmour, Jerry Garcia and Pete Townsend while also modernizing the music with a nod to Dave Matthews and Coldplay. The result was the album Seconds Away which will be the first in the rapid growth of this dutch band to stardom.
