"Moving On Up"

The Easy Kill, a four-piece pop rock outfit with a decent crowd, has a great stage presence with a lot of energy. Their sound is dynamic and their players are mostly talented. It is frat rock, as some would say, the kind of music that makes drunk college girls run around pool parties with no inhibitions. Their cover of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ newest single “Dani California” was expertly pulled off. The melodies and harmonies were catchy and sing-able. The singer has a strong voice and the guitar player had some nice moves also. Bass and drums laid down a nice rhythmic bed for the vocalist to sing to.

Bio

the easy kill (the e’ze kil) n. 1, lyric from a Jimmy Eat World song given to a person who sets themselves up for pain and heartbreak. 2, Murfreesboro area band that delivers high-powered rock with relevant heartfelt vocals.

The Easy Kill is a fresh and capable band from Murfreesboro, TN. The quartet met as students at Middle Tennessee State University and melds their experience, talent and influences into an exciting and energetic live show. Since their inception in July of 2005 the band has built a repertoire that includes both covers and well-crafted originals.

All members share songwriting duties but much of the lyrical burden is taken on by Sean Cheek; his straightforward and heartfelt lyrics coincide perfectly with the bands hard-rocking and at times funky riffs. Currently unsigned, The Easy Kill is searching for label representation and exposure by playing shows throughout Tennessee and Kentucky. The band is fresh out the studio recording their first EP and plan a fall release. In the few short months since the bands conception The Easy Kill has been garnering a dedicated and energetic fan base including various members of the media who help to promote the band and the music.
