Bio

Named after a beloved jazz radio program in their home town of Detroit, Michigan, this rock trio grew up affected by an array of cultural influences. Don’t be mistaken though, they cannot be pigeon holed into the “Detroit band” sound. The members of the band fell in love with an eclectic range of artists from "The Police" and "Smashing Pumpkins" to "Pat Metheny" and "At The Drive In" before blending these influences with a unified love for the feel good rock song.

Singer Aaron Clark's talents exceed just a great voice and a unique guitar approach. In a time when simple song craftsmanship with no gimmicks is hard to find in popular music, Aaron creates nothing short of that. The band's music has clever, timeless melodies and lyrics with understandable structures. Coloring in these tunes with a tasteful low end, "Beatles-esque" harmonies, and swinging drums has given “The Ed Love Show” mass appeal.

Aaron grew up dancing in his diapers to Stevie Wonder in the same town from which Stevie hailed. One can only imagine the amount of soul he literally absorbed, hands clasped to that oversized speaker cabinet, putting on a show for his family in the late seventies, just barely able to stand. Not long after that Carlton was banging pots and pans to the rhythms of the Miami Sound Machine and Run DMC in mom and dad’s kitchen with the butt end of wooden spoons. All the while Cornelius was trying to figure out, in whatever way his young mind could, how Brian Wilson was able to compose such insane vocal harmonies.

Fast Forward to 2003, when through a set of happenstances the three came together to form a project named after Carlton and Aaron’s favorite nightime public radio D.J. They set out to create a timeless sound that could be understood and loved by many for years to come. They have a way of respecting those who created before them and continuing the cycle of positive art.
