"Ernesto Couso of The Ekuba Project"

I recently had a great pleasure to speak via online with Ernesto Couso of The Ekuba Project about the group’s sensational music. Who is the group? The Ekuba Project is a fusion of electronic music created by Couso. What makes this group a true gem to listen to is the way Couso's music creates exhilarating sounds from a variety of styles/genres and instruments to create a remarkable experience.

"Ekubastic By The Ekuba Project"

As I’ve already mentioned in other reviews, the music has evolved to the point that different to the old, old days there’s something for everybody. If we read carefully music history, back then there was this one or two types of music, so we can it was pretty limited. However there’s now a lot of genres where to pick. Lucky us, huh?

Born in La Habana and actually living on Ecuador, The Ekuba Project’s leader Ernesto Couso represents one of this musicians that had joined this club of people mentioned above. With beats that knock you out and help you creates a party environment.

Seriously if you don’t feel like jumping when either “Cuban Afrodisiac” or “Non Profit at all” are playing on your stereo, speakers or head/earphones, them my friend, you may consider yourself an official joy kill or under depression. If you are dancing, jumping, sober or drunk, then you don’t need to call a doctor. You are feeling “right”.

So while it’s entertaining, after all it’s like almost any other electronica album. Which if that’s your thing, then you might not find any problems with it and will easily enjoy it and dance with it. That’s what you are looking for? Then head to http://www.facebook.com/theekubaproject and let the party begins!

"New Music: The Ekuba Project"

Some people like it deep, others like it aggressive. There’s no doubt that electronic dance music comes in a variety of flavors these days. For those whose taste buds desire tightly coiled, house driven dance beats with a zesty Latin flavor, then The Ekuba Project is for you. Ekuba is the product of the Ernesto Couso, an engineer fascinated by electronic music and seeking to promote and innovate it with his own work. Couso combines Latin styles such as salsa and samba with mixed house to create a unique fusion. Minimalist beats and varied instrumentation result in a compact and rhythmically catchy package, as layers of percussion and beats step in perfect formation around glitch-like bass splurges at a steady, dance-able tempo. The Ekuba Project’s unique sound stands out in a sea of watered down, saturated house artists. - The HypeTree Blog

"MUOPIA REVIEW 2"

I enjoyed that! Very unnasuming, catchy, clear...no clutter or fuss on the beats or melody. Good work :-)

I like it man. I haven't blasted it on the monitors, but hearing it on my headphones, I would most certainly play it out man. Very good job! - MUOPIA.COM

"MUOPIA REVIEW"

Another good track, nice 1 man! - MUOPIA.COM

"REVIEW OF RELAXING AT SECTIONZ"

Yeah, check out that old skool bassline and beat. What a start here man! Throwing me right back in to the early 90''s when house music / techno really meant and felt something. Catchy bass hooks and beats. Some may say it''s repetitive but they haven''t lived through the good old 90''s. - SECTIONZ.COM
