With the completion of their debut e.p. in 2006. The Elation has become a centerpiece for Chicago indie pop rock . With being a band for just about two years now and for a group that consists of a bunch of teenagers (17-19) The Elation was definitely an underdog in the Chicago scene when first developing. Now after selling over 1200 copies of The Elation E.P. in just 5 months, The Elation has released their sophomore album in June 2007 with Chicago based label Delphine Records.
The Elation now an older more driven and experienced band has become more than ready for what their careers have to offer especially with the release of “Purpose And Meaning” the well awaited sophomore album. The Elation has rounded themselves into one of the most well spoken, intellectual, and positive bands in the Chicago area. With “Purpose And Meaning” containing 6 tracks of real life experiences and ideas, positive roles, and intricate instrumentation The Elation has begun to acquire a fan base of dedicated kids who want something more from music. With tours planned , numerous interviews, and countless distribution, The Elation plans on taking 2007 by storm.
