"Box Glasgow"

Energetic, full on!!

Scotty from “The Box Glasgow”

The Electric Bangarangs are a upcoming in Glasgow
and are making a noise with songs like Born To Be A Dancer.
Really catchy tunes which have a dance feel to it.
Jamie the singer has a excellent vocal range,
whilst the drums were steady and precise.
Again The Electric Bangarangs come in and play to a crowd of 100 fans.
For the 3rd time in as many weeks I have seen them and yet still
I want to see more
- Scotty Box Skinny

Bio

We all met at Riverside Music Complex Paisley,. We were all doing a HNC in music performing where we began to write music and it just started to happen for us. From there we have gone from strength to strength playing all around Glasgow in places like Nice and Sleazy and Capitol. The Royal Concert Hall is a high point for us as we played there in only our first week as a full band in front of a full audience.
Our sound is alternative to say the least. Josh Roddie is the best Guitarist in Scotland and Marc D ambrosio is also amazing, the “Box Glasgow” described him as “a animal on the drums” . Jamie Watson is the singer and the “Box” described him as in a review as “What a set of lungs”, Owen Gallagher is a solid Bass player and works well with Marc to give the band a solid foundation which to build there music on.
The band have already recorded there first demo, which is called “In This House”. The album was a great experience for the band and sound engineer Duncan Cameron (Teenage Fan Club, Travis), thought it was great. The bands personal sound engineer Gordon Cameron thought it was a great success with tracts like Born To Be A Dancer, and In This House became a great success locally and selling almost 1000 copies to date.
The band take inspiration from amazing music like Frightened Rabbit, The Editors, Muddy Waters, Bloc Party, Biffy Clyro, Mumford And Sons, Mr J Cash. The bands sound is a mash of all these bands put together.
The name The Electric Bangarangs came from there favourite childhood film starring Robin Williams “Hook”. The band still go out on a Friday night and “Crow”.
Playing live everywhere and anywhere is all these guys want to do, whether it’s a excellent venue or not The Electric Bangarangs will not let you down. The band are well practiced and hard working. The band have tied up with Riverside Music Complex to record another demo shortly.
