The Electric Marmalade

If bands are the sum of their influences with a liittle of their own creativity mixed in then Electric Marmalade is one part late-60s psychedelic rock and one part Stonesy swagger with a hint of Allmanesque guitar interplay. Electric Marmalades sound is the culmination of years of dedication and inspiration of music and the pillaging of parents vinyl collections. The band was spawned out of the demise of a handful of local groups who suffered from dwndling memberships. Bassist Eric Evans, guitarist and vocalist Reese Richardson, and guitarist and vocalist Logan Morford came together out of a mutual respect for each others abilities and influences to form a band that is dedicated to writing and performing original material together. Infusing personal technique with influences such as David Crosby, Meddle-era Pink Floyd, Nick Drake, Terry Kath...etc...Electric Marmalade interprets its musical vision for their audience... Currently Electric Marmalade is recording an EP at Saint-Claire Recording Company. The sessions are yielding songs that represent every facet of the groups influences and sounds and hopefully in the coming month a finished product will emerge.
