Still working on that hot first release.

Feeling a bit camera shy

The Elevators perform instrumental versions of rock classics featuring extremely dynamic 22 year old saxophonist, Evan Hudson. Although the format of the songs is very close to that of the originals and they are performed with the same rock/funk 'edge', performing them instrumentally featuring the sax playing the melody/harmony lines gives the songs a very unique jazz/rock sound. Even though The Elevators basically perform covers, our style gives us the aura of an 'original' band yet the audience recognizes each of the songs.

Evan grew up listening to the rock classics (loved by his Dad, who plays guitar in the band) and naturally gravitated to that genre as he developed musically. In addition to the sax, Evan plays 3 other instruments. The idea of The Elevators began 5 years ago with two special performances at his high school band concerts with his backing group being comprised of members of his high school jazz band. The performances were so well received by both the kids and their parents, Evan decided to make the project a permanent venture when he entered college by enlisting more accomplished players outside the high school jazz band members that comprised the original lineup. The current lineup has been together 3+ years.
