Bio
The Eli Story is a pop rock trio from Chicago, Illinois, whose love for melodic songwriting, respect for equal collaboration, and utter lack of self-consciousness cook up a fun and quirky rock formula.
Always taking their music seriously, but never themselves, each member brings to the table diverse influences and backgrounds, resulting in a sound fueled with energy, drive, and catchy hooks. Every song is a story, permeated with emotion that is painted with powerful lyrics that can evoke laughter with one line and break a heart with the next. Through the music, these three ordinary guys, drummer and lead vocalist, Eddie Paul, guitarist / keyboardist, Michael Gouwens, and bassist / guitarist, Dylan Lower, strive to move their listeners by sharing the extraordinary truth in their own lives, creating an intimacy not found on any other stage.
Since the spring of 2006, this nerd rock trio has been delivering an energetic live stage show filled with musical balance, tight harmonies, and a little humor thrown in for good measure. The Eli Story is currently recording their third CD to be released in 2011.
Rock like a nerd.
