A song with an environmental theme and it’s own indie feel, Favorite Place was performed Live by The Elliotts at the 2011 Banksia Awards in Sydney. It is now featured on the Banksia foundation’s website.

The Elliotts are a New Wave Rock group currently based in Melbourne, Australia.
The line up consists of
Robbie Elliott (lead vocals/guitar),
Ross Evans (BV’s guitar),
James Howlett (bass and BVs)
Ash Joy (drums).

The band was founded by songwriter, lead singer, and guitarist; Robbie Elliott. The line up also comprising of bassist, James Howlett, who joins on third part harmonies, Lead guitarist, Ross Evens on Rhythm and Ash Joy on Drums.
The Elliotts left their Tasmanian roots, relocating to central Melbourne to advance their music career. Over several years they have honed their craft, collaborating with music producer Pete Dacy (Taxiride, The Androids, Superjesus) and artists such as Brian Canham (Pseudo Echo).
In a converted garage in suburban Melbourne, The Elliotts recorded with an established producer from Los Angeles; Matt Beckley (Katy Perry, Ke$ha) to further their aspirations.
The Elliotts have been unwavering in their commitment toward enhancing their live performance. They play frequently in popular venues all over Melbourne including; Cherry Bar, The Esplanade, Prince of Whales and more. and this year are touring interstate with Rock the Schools. The Elliotts were recently given a residency at Veludos bar (in Saint Kilda), and have been a support act to 80’s superstars Belinda Carlisle, 1927 and Psudeo Echo.
The songs of the Elliotts have steadily accumulated in popularity as their public exposure increases. One of The Elliotts songs ‘Favorite Place’ was brought to the attention of FFM in Sydney. The programming director showed great enthusiasm and expressed the stations interest in adding the song. Favorite Place was also performed in Sydney at the recent Banksia Awards, helping to increase environmental awareness and preservation within Australia.
The Elliotts blend of Harmonies and indie pop hooks evoke comparisons to Crowded House and Big Star.
Bud Skoper of US Rolling Stone magazine describes The Elliotts as “A post millennium Hollies.”
Mitch Clark (Previous manager of Pet Shop Boys) believes The Elliotts are “not just another pop band and that there style and blend of Harmonies gives them serious longevity ”
