INTRODUCING….THE ENDLESS SUMMER

“It’s been one hell of a ride so far.” That’s how vocalist Nick Bacon would describe the short existence of a project known as “The Endless Summer.” The "ride," however, begins back in 2008, when five long time friends banded together to try and make something of themselves and pursue a career in doing what they loved the most: music. Back then, they were known by the name "Highland Fall." It didn’t take long for them to gain a level of success, playing for large concert venues and large crowds around the Midwest and throughout the Eastern United States.

However, the “time had come for some change,” Bacon recalls, and the band decided to recently release "TES" in April 2011.

“We completely re-vamped everything. New music, a new style, a new name, and more,” Bacon says of the new project, “We had even lost Tommy [Oerding, the band’s previous drummer], to the business world. He was fortunate enough to be invited to work as the A&R for new talent at Chicago Custom Percussion, and we had to wish him only the best out there. That company is going to be huge, and we knew that Tommy was going to play a huge part in it’s rise to the top.”

Shortly after, though, Oerding was back with the band and doing what he loved. "I just realized that I wanted to be part of something again," Tommy said, "I love building drums, but I love playing them even more, especially with these guys. We have a new start and it's a fresh chance to be one of the important faces of 'TES'." Oerding also had the chance while away from the band to do some touring with Plug In Stereo [Triple Crown Records], and has admitted that it has been enough to keep him solid and eager for more.

But the decision to change the band’s name was one of a rebirth. The band released its debut E.P. entitled "Fairweather" on July 15, 2011 which can be found now on iTunes and all major online media outlets. "Fairweather," recorded and produced by Kevin Gates (NeverShoutNever/The Ready Set/Cady Groves), received warm reviews from fans and the industry alike, receiving reviews and features from Alternative Press, webzines, online radio and other press outlets. The push single from the record, "Long Way Down," was put out for free download on the viral website "Tweet For A Track," and within no time sat within the top 2 downloads on the site and remained there for over a month, topping artists like NeverShoutNever, The Maine and many others.

"We were so excited about 'Fairweather'," Bacon reflects, "It really was the first step and the building block to what we are hoping to accomplish with The Endless Summer." The record reflects back on some of the "negative" aspects of life in general, and the band says that the best is still yet to come. Adds Nick, "We've gotten some things off of our chests, we've put out the negative through this E.P., now it's time for the positive."

Shortly after the release of "Fairweather," the band got back to work writing their sophomore album. Tyler Long, the band's lead guitarist, and Shay Johnson (rhythm guitar) spent the next few months couped up in Long's personal recording studio cranking out a catalog of musical demos. Bacon and Johnson then got to work on writing melodies and lyrics to what the band was hoping would be their breakout album.

On December 02, 2011 the band pushed out their newest single, "Satellites," hoping to garner attention from new fans and industry officials alike before starting the new year.

"We had actually had Satellites written and recorded for over a year." States Bacon, "It was one of the first demos that came to fruition after we made the name change, and we were fortunate enough to be able to work with Andrew Goldstein (The Friday Night Boys/Hot Chelle Rae/Selena Gomez) on the track. We knew that it was going to be a hit with fans, so we purposefully held it back.

Indeed the song has released with a bang, climbing the iTunes charts and even becoming the subject of the band's first music video. The song has even been successful enough to be played regularly overseas on Japan's "Hiroshima FM."

On February 01, 2012 the boys released the official music video for "Satellites," and are currently finalizing many features, reviews, and interviews that the video has already started to garner.

On March 01, 2012 The Endless Summer will digitally release their sophomore EP entitled "Daydream," with four driving pop-rock singles that are sure to put this band on the national scope.

"This one is for all the marbles," concludes Bacon, "We've created something special with this EP. We wanted to separate ourselves from the pop cliche, and I think we all believe we accomplished that. We incorporated a lot of unique sounds and at this point we're mixing alternative pop rock with hints of the 90s as well as some country-feeling licks even. Summer is over for pretty much everyone; it's just beginning for us."
