Bio
Born out of the ashes of the 'mighty' Insects and The Entertainment comes SK-1 led by guitarist Dave 'The Moog' O'Connell.
Moog London's most renowned surf guitarist- formed the band with Achilleas whom he met by chance.
Achilleas is a bassist and trumpeter who has played with Bowie, The Dandy Warhols and The Soul Destroyers.
Achilleas introduced Soul Destroyers singer Sharon Jackson to the Moog. She was so impressed she jumped om the SK-1 bandwagon.
Rapper Blee- who had answered a 'non-existent' ad in Loot wowed Sharon, Achilleas and the Moog with his Montserrat English accented rapping style. They begged him to join there and then-so he did.
And finally we get Paul the chilled drummer from Glastonbury (also plays for Kula Shaker) who was drafted in on reputation alone.
The essential pieces of the collective now in place, SK-1 were ready to rock'n'roll-with a combination of monster guitar riffs, soulful vibes from Sharon and exquisite rapping from Blee.
They have been touring consistently for the last three years and are steadily building a healthy fanbase. The new single 'No Drama' drops Spring 2012.
