The story of the Episodes began in 2007 when long-time friends Serge Andary (Guitar, Lead vocals) & Christ Tsigos (Bass Guitar) started collaborating on original musical projects in a dingy basement studio. When stumbling down a dimly lit back alley one night, they tripped over the dangerously intoxicated Aki Kechagias (Drums), who was beating on some empty garbage bins with the ferocity of a young Phil Collins. After sobering up days later, they decided that a band must be formed. With influences ranging from Johnny Cash to Radiohead, they have developed a sound that defies classification... A sound that will soon be known as The Episodes.
Within just two weeks of forming, the opportunity arose to open for some other local acts. Not wanting to pass on the chance to play in one of Montreal’s great venues, they took on the challenge and put together a set of original tracks. They also added one final member to their happy family; Mandy McCann (Tambourine, Vocals), who brought that last bit of sass that the band that was missing.
After a few very well received live performances, the band brought their energy into their home studio. They have just released their breakout 6-track demo, the self produced Stay Tuned. The band is currently working on new material and will be hitting the stage this spring, both locally and on the road.
