"Here And Now"

"Latella's an amazing guitarist, vocalist and songwriter..."
- Telluride Watch

"Time To Rally"

"...the band goes technically and creatively way beyond most."
- Telluride Watch

"The Ethereal Plane"

"...a psychedelic dreamscape of jazz and jam, smart compositions and airy vibrations. What make the (music) work is the solid groove backbone that provides the necessary visceral component that fills both the dance floor and your head."

~Vince Darcangelo, Boulder Weekly (CO)
- Boulder Weekly

"The Ethereal Plane Takes Listeners Through The Doors Of Perception"

"Guitarist Patrick Latella has been responsible for some of the
more epic, original, improvisational-based bands in the Boulder
area for over ten years. The musical vision of (this) veteran
Front Range musician has taken local fans on psychedelic rock
trips, symphonic dance fusion journeys and blistering acoustic
excursions...."

~ Jeffrey Smith, Marquee Magazine (Boulder, CO)
- Marquee Magazine

"The Ethereal Plane CD Review"

"A psychedelic romp, it reminds me in parts of what The Doors demo must have sounded like back in 1966. In other parts, though, it takes on a shine that is particular to itself with a new age and world beat funkiness....

This is a fantastic album that pulls in many psychedelic inspirations and creates a mellow but exciting and trippy listen."

~ Dave Terpeny, KyndMusic.com
- KyndMusic.com

""Space Is The Place""

"...guitars that sound as if they are coming to you over the speakers of the mothership."

~ Autumn Phillips, Steamboat Pilot - Steamboat Pilot

"Boulder's Ethereal Plane Explores Space"

"A trio of phenomenal musicians, they could probably play any type of music in order to fit into any venue, but their signature sound is an almost straight ahead, intricate and tight rock tune that drifts off into outer space for a hypnotic and mind-boggling jam in the middle. Looping lines and textures, the band creates an incredible mesh of rhythmic patterns, funky grooves, melodic harmonies, and controlled chaos."

"...a few of the hottest musicians from one of the hottest music scenes in the country..."

~Mark Steele, The Telluride Watch - The Telluride Watch

The goal of the music is to unify the energy of the band and the audience...and to encourage its growth.

EP has performed at the Telluride Jazz Celebration, The South Park Music Festival and the Nederland Music & Arts Festival.

The Ethereal Plane is:

Guitarist/vocalist/songwriter/composer Patrick Latella has been writing and performing in CO since 1993 and has shared stages with Leftover Salmon, YMSB, Joan Osbourne, MOE., Tea Leaf Green, The Motet and Kan'Nal. As the primary force behind the band's original tunes, he combines melodic themes and funky rhythms with surreal visions and liquid atmospheres.

Bassist Jeff Fournier brings a thumping power on the low end and mastery of the instrument. Bring on tha funk!

Drummer Christian Teele lays down funky beats for the Plane on kit and percussion. A familiar face in the Front Range scene, Christian can be heard each week on the E-Town radio program. Master of the power-pocket!

Bill McKay of Leftover Salmon brings his masterful skills and soulful presence to add magic to the music.

Paul Murin is the other axe-man...slick licks, smokin' chops. Having performed in several Front Range bands including PHIX and The Higher Good, Paul has rocked stages of all sizes.

Pete Wall is the icing on the EP cake, bringing soulful and powerful playing on saxophones and flute. His credits include jamming regularly with Particle and
WhiteWater Ramble.
