"Featured Music New York"

We are The Even Tide, an established San Francisco Bay Area based quintet. We have mastered the bridge between the Progressive and Heavy Rock genres, which allow us to compose a wide range of powerful, original Rock music. The band consists of 5 best friends and veteran musicians: Morgan Mclean – Drums, Elliot Polokoff – Rhythm guitar, Jesse Mancillas – Lead Guitar, Kit Rairigh – Bass, and Andrew Deneef – Vocals.

We keep our band strategy simple – be heard. We understand the challenge of growing a band from nothing, and make it a top priority to grow our brand every day. We engage our fans on our social media sites, utilize internet radio stations, and most importantly, we make new fans face-to-face; the old fashioned way. You can find us, and our Bay-Area street team, standing outside just about every major concert event in the region, handing out free flyers and promotional demo CD's by the thousands. We were selected to play a date on the Vans Warped Tour 2011 in Mountain View, CA not because of how many Likes we had on our website, but because of the quality of our music. It truly was a dream come true for all of us.
We have been active on the San Francisco Bay Area music scene for about a year now. During that time, we recorded and released our first EP, “Foundations In Sand which was mixed by Grammy award winner Mike Sapone (Brand New, Taking Back Sunday). This quickly pushed us over the 1,000 Like mark within a few short months. Our music video for the self-titled track “Foundations In Sand received a huge response as well.

We pride ourselves in being an extremely hands-on, mature band. With all of us in our mid-twenties or older, and some of us having previous record label experience, we understand what it takes to be a successful band in today's scene. We thoroughly research every marketing and band business venture before making a decision. We have taken the time and extra efforts to ensure we have built a solid, dedicated fan base in California. Above all, we have realistic expectations of what it takes to be a full-time touring act in today's music industry.

We are now preparing for the release of our full length record entitled “Inevitable Collapse, due Fall 2011. Our newest single, “Invisible Monster, and the corresponding music video will be available through iTunes within the coming weeks. We are investing in and executing multiple marketing campaigns for this upcoming release. Expect to see The Even Tide in mainstream magazines such as AP and AMP magazines, as well as on the front page of Purevolume.com. We are very optimistic about our future as a band together and are gearing up to tour full-time. Stay tuned and keep a lookout for The Even Tide in 2011.

"The Even Tide "invisible monster""

The Skinny: The Even Tide, formed in 2010, consists of Vocalist Andrew DeNeef, Jesse Mancillas and Elliot Polokoff as lead and rhythm guitarists, Kit Rairigh on bass and Morgan Mclean on drums. Their music is a very energetic progressive and alternative rock influenced by bands such as The Used, Circa Survive, and The Receiving End of Sirens. Most importantly the members share a love for music that is honest, passionate and consuming.

In 2011 The Even Tide performed at The Vans Warped Tour in Mountain View, CA. after being selected by a panel of judges for the Ernie ball battle of the bands. They have been featured on dailyunsigned.com, smartpunk.com, Alternative Press (AP) magazine and numerous blogs. In 2011, The Even Tide also released a 5 song EP Foundations In Sand (mixed by Grammy award winner Mike Sapone) a new single "Invisible Monster" based loosely on a similarly named novel by Chuck Palahnuik, and a full length titled Inevitable Collapse, available in stores, iTunes, and any other major online distributor October 15th.

It's been an amazing journey already and the band can't wait to show you what else they have in store. Look for The Even Tide performing in your hometown soon! - puregrainaudio.com

"Are ya listening now? noteworthy bands."

Alternative / Progressive Rock

The thing that caught me about this band was the
title of they’re first single. It just so happens to be
called “Invisible Monster”, a title similar to that of
my favorite book of all time. This song does the
tone of Palahniuk's book justice. It's heavy and
holds a very mysterious element that keeps you
waiting for what ever will be thrown at you. They
just recently finished their first album though they
are still unsigned. Seeing this band live is
something you need to do before they leave the
local scene. The way that they’re lead singer
plays off the energy of the crowd will suck you
in and refuse to let you go. - nyghtscene.com

"The Even Tide Releases New Single: “Invisible Monster”"

Hailing from the city of San Francisco, California; we bring you The Even Tide’s brand new single “Invisible Monster”. It’s a story of knowing better than believing another person’s deceit. The single brings in a much darker side than the band’s previous song “Foundations in Sand”. You may have also seen the band perform at this year’s Mountain View, Warped Tour date on the Ernie Ball Stage. Fueled by their own energetic optimism for the future, The Even Tide lights a bright path for themselves along the way.

"Invisible Monster: A Review"

Coming straight out of California, The Even Tide are working their way to becoming a respectable rock band. Their new single “Invisible Monster”—out on iTunes August 15th—defines who they are and how they want to be represented in the industry. The song’s slow-yet-mysterious beginning immediately grabs your attention, making you want more. It quickly picks up with the drums and strong guitar hooks, and soon enough, you’ll catch yourself dancing in your chair! Several key elements can be spotted—the refreshing mature sound makes them stand out as a rock band, while the few screaming parts add a modern hook that’s not over-done or forced. The harmonies also contribute to the overall tone; they add a vulnerable sound that brings the song together in a way that anyone can appreciate and relate to. “Invisible Monster” is reminiscent of classic rock songs that would stream out of stereos for days, so hopefully it will be held to those standards. Make sure you look out for their full-length album “Inevitable Collapse” in October 2011!

The Even Tide expertly crafts songs that truly take you on a journey to places that you have never been to. With distinctive vocals, memorable hooks and big choruses you are naturally sucked into a web of lyrics that are both sarcastic and noteworthy.
