Bio

The Everald Williams Organ Jazz Trio transports you on a voyage through jazz with varying tempos and moods to create an enjoyable atmosphere. The trio delivers fresh versions of popular jazz standards with a personal touch and solid improvisations. This exciting unit of sound consists of Everald Williams, alto sax, Matt Wade, Hammond B3 organ, and Stephanie McQueeney, drums. Regardless of the tempo, the trio is locked together rhythmically and yet still allows their individuality to flourish. Everald’s rich, soulful sound on the alto sax is complimented well by Matt’s organ work which is mellow but driving. Stephanie’s rhythm keeps everyone centered and moving forward. These skilled musicians with obvious rapport make a musical triangle of live entertainment that is perfect for restaurants, clubs, parties, corporate events and weddings.

Stephanie McQueeney is the drummer for the jazz trio. She was born and raised in New Jersey and still resides there with her husband. She began playing the drums when she was 10 years old. In addition to being the top notch, steady and reliable heartbeat of the trio, Stephanie is an outstanding vocalist who also enjoys playing piano and bass guitar. Along with her “day job”, she is employed as the children’s choir director at the First Baptist Church of Red Bank. Stephanie played on and off for various organizations over the past six years, and will continue to do so long into the future.

Matt Wade is a senior in High School at the Jersey Shore and plays the Hammond B3 organ in the jazz trio. Matt has played the jazz organ for 2 years, but has played piano for 13 years. He has performed publicly since he was twelve years old. Matt is also the drummer for a local blues band. This multi-talented musician loves all kinds of music, especially jazz, blues, and contemporary. His jazz organ style has been influenced by such greats as Jimmy Smith and Joey DeFrancesco. Matt is involved in many solo projects such as writing songs and lyrics and recording them in his home studio. His plans for the future include pursuing his passion for music and obtaining a degree in Jazz Studies and Performance.

Everald Williams picked up the saxophone at the age of 9 when he joined the school band, and has been playing ever since. Initially, he took up the alto saxophone but has since added the soprano and tenor saxophones. Growing up, Everald listened to and played a variety of musical styles. While in college, he played with the University of the Virgin Islands Jazz Band as well as other groups and solo projects. After college, Everald continued to play as a soloist, sideman, and as a leader in various projects. He hopes to continue making beautiful music for everyone's listening pleasure.
