"Local Acoustic duo to perform at new campus venue"

The Ev N Bri Duo, a well-rounded cover group, will be performing in celebration of the grand opening of the Verona Cafe at St. Bonaventure University on September 30th. They will be amongst the very first of many performers to entertain the students in a loungy atmosphere on campus. The members of the duo, Brian Thibodeau and Evyn Grassl, may be new faces amongst the acoustic scene, but are quickly developing a solid fan base and have become a local favorite of the students in the area. Their sound, which draws influence from artists such as The Beatles, Norah Jones, and Eva Cassidy, is reminiscent of the original artists that they cover, but the unique twist that they add to each song offers the audience a different perspective of their favorites. The Grand Opening will start at 5pm with the performers beginning at 7pm. - The Bona Connection

Bio

Evyn and Brian started getting songs together for Open Mics at Finger Lakes Community College in New York over a year ago, found that they worked very well together, and decided to do it more and more often. None of their songs are original, but they like to add a little of their own touch to them. They enjoy performing for many different groups of people, big and small. Coffee shops, pubs, and parties are where they make most of their appearances. This is a good group for people who are looking for live music that isn't overly loud. They're influenced by artists such as The Beatles, Eva Cassidy, Norah Jones, Fiona Apple, Tracy Chapman, Ella Fitzgerald, The Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Timmy Reynolds, Dave Matthews, Sublime, The Mars Volta and many other bands/artists from tons of different genres of music. What makes The Ev n Bri Duo so different from other groups is that their repertoire is so diverse that they can perform for young kids at a rave, middle aged people at a bar, or old people at a jazzy restaurant and still have enough material to make sure they enjoy the music as much as possible.
