While drawing comparisons to bands such as No Doubt or Paramore, The FABulous Rudies continue to carve out their niche amongst pop punk, ska, and alternative music fans. “[The FAB Rudies are] on the crest of the next wave in alternative music,” said Kevin Lyman, founder & guru of Van’s Warped Tour.

Biography

Rising like a phoenix from the horizon, The FAB Rudies or aka The FABulous Rudies, are back and better than ever with a rejuvenated lineup, a new record to be released, and a movie inspired by the band & their founder titled - MUSIC HIGH - to be released in 2012 by Universal Pictures in which 8 songs will be featured & performed by the band in the film with songstress Kailyn Voris in a supporting role. Landing with enough force to generate a tidal wave capable of sweeping their Oceanside, California home out to sea, this six piece is poised to vault themselves skyward to new heights of popularity and attention. Blending classic two-tone ska with contemporary pop punk and infectious, soulful vocals, The FABulous Rudies are picking up steam in a hurry.

With over 14 years under their belts and following an impressive level of success, the original Fabulous Rudies broke up in 2008, only to give way to the fresher, leaner reincarnation greeting music fans today. Founding member and singer Tommy2Rude Voris rebuilt the group with a young, yet experienced lineup, featuring his 16-year-old daughter Kailyn taking the reins on lead vocal duty. Like a shot of adrenaline to the heart, The FABulous Rudies were revitalized, and quickly began penning new songs, landing gigs, and setting up prospective record deals.

By December 2010, the group released "Help Me" through Tate Music Group, which features eight tracks of thoughtful, catchy songwriting driven by Kailyn’s incredible vocal talent. While drawing comparisons to bands such as No Doubt or Paramore, The FABulous Rudies continue to carve out their niche amongst pop punk, ska, and alternative music fans.

Following the release of their latest LP, two of the tracks were picked up for the Punk Rock High School soundtrack. The FAB Rudies are already set up to expand further into films during 2012, including Beach Bar, which their version of “Tears of a Clown” has been selected for the title track. Also set for release in 2012, the pre-mentioned Music High will see the band performing as themselves in addition to contributing music on the soundtrack to be released by Universal. Finally, the group was also the first band to be nominated as Rock Artist of the Year by the Los Angeles Music Awards in 2011 at a recent event & World Music Artist of the Year during the summer's San Diego Music Awards.

The whirlwind of music and exposure driven by the release of "Help Me," as well as electrifying live performances including perennial appearances on Van’s Warped Tour has created a flood of media attention. Alternative Press, Music Connection, Variance Magazine, and Alwayz Therro have all quickly picked up on The FABulous Rudies’ vibe, as they continue to attract positive attention from coast to coast.
“[The FAB Rudies are] on the crest of the next wave in alternative music,” said Kevin Lyman, founder and organizer of Van’s Warped Tour.

Look for The FAB Rudies to tour throughout most of 2012. Visit the band’s official MySpace or Facebook pages for tour dates, photos, videos, and streaming audio to catch the next wave of bona fide Southern California fire.

LAZY

Written By: Aaron Hudson/Don Carter

1st Verse
He comes home each day from school
And he sits around the tube.
He has no life. He has no friends.
What else is he to do?
His favorite show’s are on MTV.
He watches everyday.
He’s a jerk and he’s a slob.
What else can I say?

He’s Lazy!
He’s Lazy!

2nd Verse
He loves to eat Kraft Mac & Cheese
And he drinks pink lemonade.
He thinks he’s fooling everyone
With some kind of charade.
His socks have holes. His pants are ripped.
He always wears a cap.
He’s a jerk and he’s a slob.
He always looks like crap.

He’s Lazy!
He’s Lazy!

He’s Lazy!
He’s Lazy!

3rd Verse Same as the 1st

He’s Lazy! - 7X’s
Lazy! - 8X’s

HE’S LAZY

With or Without Hair
The story's just a rumor

BRITNEY SPEARS!!!

TEARS OF A CLOWN

Written By: HENRY COSBY, STEVLAND MORRIS, WILLIAM ROBINSON

Say oh yeah baby baby
Now if there's a smile on my face
It's only there tryin' to fool the public
But when it comes down to foolin' you
Now honey that's quite a different subject
So don't let my glad expression
Give you the wrong impression
Cos really I'm sad (so sad sad)
Oh I'm sadder than sad (so sad sad)
Well I'm hurt and I want you so bad (so sad sad)
Like a clown I appear to be glad
Ooh yeah
There's some sad things known to man
But ain't too much sadder than
The tears of a clown
When there's no one around
Say oh yeah baby baby baby
Oh yeah baby baby baby
Now if I appear to be carefree
It's only to camouflage my sadness
And honey to shield my pride I try
To cover this hurt with a show of gladness
So don't let my show convince you
That I've been happy since you decided to go
Oh I need you so
Look I'm hurt and I want you to know
Just for others I put on a show
Ooh yeah
There's some sad things known to man
But ain't too much sadder than
The tears of a clown
Just like Pagliacci did
I'm gonna keep my surface hid
Hiding in my room I try
But in this lonely room I cry
The tears of a clown
When there's no one around
Now if there's a smile on my face
Don't let my glad expression
Give you the wrong impression
Don't let this smile I wear
Make you feel that I don't care
The tears of a clown
Tears of a clown
The tears of a clown
I'm going down de town
I'm going downtown
Tears of a clown

HELP ME

Written By: Tom Voris/Paul Miller

CHORUS:
Help me, I need help
So won't you please?
Help me

I don’t know what to do
I’ll cry and I’ll die
So won’t you please?
Help me
I’m lost in my life

VERSE 1:
What’s the matter with me
I’ve disappointed many when I’ve only tried to please

Why can’t I enjoy what I have?
I want it all but I don’t know what it is I want

Is there a God, Yes He must exist
Because in this life there is so much we miss

All of life’s pleasures are so simple
I want to inspire it means so much more

CHORUS:

VERSE 2:
I love yet I hate and I feel so lonely
I drive everyone away

I am an outcast I feel so unloved
But everyone wants me when the party is on

I am willing to give everything that I own
To risk it all to get that dream I want

Oh I just want to understand
The answers to life see the master plan

CHORUS:

CHORUS (2X’s)

JUST A GIRL

Written By: Gwen Stefani/Tom Dumont

Take this pink ribbon off my eyes
I'm exposed
And it's no big surprise
Don't you think I know
Exactly where I stand
This world is forcing me
To hold your hand
'Cause I'm just a girl, little 'ol me
Don't let me out of your sight
I'm just a girl, all pretty and petite
So don't let me have any rights

Oh...I've had it up to here!
The moment that I step outside
So many reasons
For me to run and hide
I can't do the little things I hold so dear
'Cause it's all those little things
That I fear

'Cause I'm just a girl I'd rather not be
'Cause they won't let me drive
Late at night I'm just a girl,
Guess I'm some kind of freak
'Cause they all sit and stare
With their eyes

I'm just a girl,
Take a good look at me
Just your typical prototype

Oh...I've had it up to here!
Oh...am I making myself clear?
I'm just a girl
I'm just a girl in the world...
That's all that you'll let me be!
I'm just a girl, living in captivity
Your rule of thumb
Makes me worry some

I'm just a girl, what's my destiny?
What I've succumbed to Is making me numb
I'm just a girl, my apologies
What I've become is so burdensome
I'm just a girl, lucky me
Twiddle-dum there's no comparison

Oh...I've had it up to!
Oh...I've had it up to!!
Oh...I've had it up to here!
