After years of being a singer songwriter Sean is now backed by his band and
their forthcoming E.P release 'The Power' eloquently brings you to your knees
and shows you what he is all about. Raw emotion, blistering truth and of course
Geordie charm; all of the vital ingredients of The Face.
'The Power' is available via Push Puzzle Records, Newcastle College's new independent record label dedicated to finding the best new music from the North East and beyond.
As a songwriter, Sean's music has a lyrical depth that belies his young age. After his fledgling career as a boxer was cut short by a car accident, he turned to music as a creative outlet. He says he hasn't looked back since.
That same sense of determination is all over his debut EP 'The Power' and it's a compelling statement from start to finish.
Lead single ‘The Power’, with its captivating melody line supported by an iconic vocal style, evokes a lasting impression. As lyrics seamlessly weave together, they take you on a journey guided by an exceptional band that compliments every nuance of Sean’s singing.
The Face take influence from a wide range of bands, from The Beatles to The Kinks and beyond forming their own unique sound in the process. Lyrically, the songs move far beyond "sex, drugs and rock & roll" cliché; each one is imbued with a hard-earned wisdom straight from the mind of one of North East England's brightest song-writing talents.
In anticipation of the upcoming EP, The Face featured in Push Puzzle Records’ showcase launch. From beginning to end The Face captivated the audience; with Sean's incendiary raw vocals supported by catchy melodies, meaningful lyrics and memorable music. The band is a bona fide winner. The set, including the debut single, was received with acclaim from the audience; as a live band, The Face are unmissable.
