Bio
The Faculty (Shovel Gang) all born and raised in Detroit, MI. With the exception of Class Genius, whom was born in Saginaw, MI (1hour45mins away) but raised in Detroit. The group consists of Syeed "Sy McFly" Ali (rapper/producer/writer), Fokie Dope (rapper/writer), BIG PROP (rapper/writer), and Class Genius (rapper/producer/writer/singer). All four emcees led the average urban/inner city kids life. Dealing with poverty, declined economy, rough neighborhoods ect. Those conditions help mold them into the men they are today. Pulling from the pain, the struggle, the energy of they're environment, the golden era, life, and fashion, they create real music! Forming in early 2010 officially, but all have been rapping/producing since gradeschool. Be on the look out! #srereosup
THE STAGE:
The group has been performing all over Detroit and metro area since early 2010. Venues and Showcase's range from, T.A.U.T (the air up there) @Bobs Classic kicks, The Defusion Lounge, The Bullfrog, The Emerald Theare in Mount Clemens, Mi, The Kick Back ( Of which they founded) @The Graffati Warehouse and @The 4th Floor, The Shelter @St. Andrews Hall, The Old Miami, The Ritz, THE AFRICAN WORLD FESTIVAL @ Hart Plaza, and recently MUSIC MANIA @ DIESEL Music Lounge (Chesterfield, Mi). Performing is something they practice on the daily, and are extremely passiinate about. Connecting with the audience is an unexplained phenomenon, that they have a niche for.
