MY FAVE!
The Fairytale is a gem. From Sweden, Peter and Ulrika Malmberg combined their varied
talents to create a sound that is a mix of pop, folk, and grand theater. They write material
that could be produced on stage or as a film soundtrack. Their album, Land of Beauty,
released last December, is stunning.
The whole album is polished and beautifully balanced vocally and instrumentally.
Their material can easily challenge anything by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
I would love to see The Fairytale mount a full stage show with this music.

THE FAIRYTALE : Bio
Peter Malmberg/ producer, composer, artist
With the group Liverpool, Peter has performed at the legendary The Cavern. Peter has appeared in public in several Swedish TV programms such as TV4 New Years Eve Gala and the inauguration of Hockey WM in Globen, 1994, among others. A sample of artists at the same opening were Carola, Robert Wells and Jan Johansen.
Peter left for Gran Canaria, Spain, in the year of 1997 to work there both as an artist and being responsible for the music on the great show restaurant Garbos.
Peter has recorded 3 CD singles in Sweden, which have been played several times on the national Radio station. Both music and text by
Peter and Ulrika Malmberg.
Also a CD has been recorded with the group Liverpool that has toured both in Sweden, England and Russia. Ulrika started her career as early as 1980 when she toured with her dance group 5th Avenue.
She continued within theater and song and participated in several great performances as West Side Story and The Wizzard of Oz. Further more Ulrika has made a number of concert performances in Phantom of the Opera, Evita and Les Miserables among others.
Ulrika is schooled in classic song and she currently works as a song- and dance coach.
Ulrika has also worked at the international show restaurant Garbos, on Gran Canaria, in Spain. She there made the role as Greta Garbo.
The Fairytale became real when Peter&Ulrika decided to
write music together. Peter with his pop & rock background
along with Ulrika and her musical, Irish influences turned out
to be a really good mix.
