Bio

The Faith Keepers is a soul & funk band from Zaragoza, Spain. It was founded in 2005 with a sound that is clearly influenced by the late 60s and early 70s black music. The maturity acquired in the last years and the addition of a horn section and latin percussion to their music has made them one of the finest and most recognized bands of the spanish soul scene.

Their self-titled debut album was released in 2010 by Lontano Records and was produced by Carlo Coup in Funkorama Studios (Madrid). They played live in many venues and festivals of Spain promoting the album such as Sala Sol and Tempo (Madrid), Jazzroom and Razzmatazz (Barcelona), Fever (Bilbao), Boogaclub (Granada), Estudio 27 (Burgos), etc. They also made internationals gigs in Londons Blues Kitchen, Brighton and Lavarone (Italy) with great success.

In 2012 came out their single Soon Youll Die/ Dont Worry Bout Later with the help of Blackula Records. The track on side B is a reissue of a song from their first album that was used in the Adidas commercial for the Copa del Rey football final a year before.

Leap Of Faith is their latest album, and was released on October 2012. It was recorded in Zaragoza and mastered in Stuttgart by Andreas Schoenrock. It has been produced and released by the band itself, and has been performed live on tour in Galicia, Andalucia and Catalua thanks to the support of AIEs Artistas En Ruta programme.

Recently they have participated in the tribute album La Musica Es El Arma Del Futuro (A Tribute To Fela From Spanish Bands) among other soul & funk bands from Spain. And some of their songs have appeared in the Antena 3TV prime-time comedy Fenmenos.
