Biography

“The Fallen” is a St. Louis, MO-based indie rock band that has a unique style and sound ranging from powerful, heartfelt ballads to driving, melodic rock with tight and soaring vocals. They are continuing to gain momentum in the secular and Christian music scenes. The producers/engineers with which the band has recorded their self-titled debut album are none other than Bill Whittington and Rob Coates out of Franklin, TN (album release scheduled for July 2010). The band’s current venue list ranges from churches to festivals, benefits, youth conferences, and theme parks that range from 1,000 to 30,000 in attendance. They are also receiving national air play with their new single, “Your Love is Extravagant”—a remix of the song Casting Crowns made famous. The Fallen is really thrilled with the buzz they are creating in the secular and Christian music scenes, and as previously stated, their album was released on July 23, 2010. The band will be touring to promote their new record.
Kyle, Zech, Jerrick, and Drew are continually creating fresh and cutting-edge melodies that are not only driven by searing vocals, crunchy guitars, chest-pounding drums, and greasy bass lines, but are more importantly filled with inspiration and encouragement in a world where people are constantly yearning to be enlightened and given a hope that will refuel them for a life lived to its fullest.

Kyle Torrence (24): "Funny…if you would have asked me when I was 10 years old what I was going to be when I grew up, I would have said I’d play professional baseball. Never in my life would I have imagined that God would be using me the way He is. I would have told anyone else, ‘You're crazy’. It's funny how God brings things into light—into perspective. God brings people together for a greater cause than one's own being. Music has always been a part of me; even in the midst of a tragedy in my own life, I was able to see beauty and hope. I find great peace in what God has in store for me. I am truly amazed."

Zech Shoults (20): "You know how you see all these bands with members from all different places? I always thought it was crazy, and I didn't know how that ever worked out; somehow, I’m now in a band with guys I didn't even know before I was messaged on Facebook. Now that I have stepped back and looked at my life, I see how God’s hand has been with me and has prepared me to do work in His name. He has brought us together—without knowing each other previously before ‘The Fallen’—to glorify Him on and off stage. God put me in this band so I could wake up and strengthen my faith to do His will…and share His love."

Jerrick (JRock) Myers (21): “I've known since I was 12 years old that God had big plans for my life. I never imagined Him using a series of events that at the time seemed like reasons to give up, but were really all a part of His plan to get me to where I am today. It's really cool to start to see the picture in the puzzle, and not just the edges.”

Drew Keirsey (28): “I’ve never been eloquent, so I’ll just stick to the facts. Kyle, Jerrick, Zech, and I are just a bunch of normal guys with normal lives that He has pieced together in order to bring His message to those that haven’t heard it. I don’t know how this is going to ultimately turn out, but I’ll rock the bass frequencies and sing my heart out while He still allows me yet another day to live. I hope we can be used to help you live your life on purpose.”
