Bio

After the break-up of their previous band, Agent Orange, Ronald Egan, Mikey Hilferty and Jamie Mcphilemy began practicing together in rehearsal studios in Glasgow, without a singer or rhythm guitarist.

Then, one Saturday evening at his local pub, Jamie heard for the first time soon-to-be frontman Andrew Connor singing along to Times Like These by the Foo Fighters on karaoke. He then informed the other two members of his as-yet-nameless band, and they invited Andrew along for practice. From that moment on, they were known as The Fallen Arches, and they went on to record their first demo in November. The demo is reference to an old live favourite we used to play, and is reminiscent of the boys we used to be.

We have our own photographer, Kirstine Hughes, who has put in a great deal of effort to make us look beautiful, and as you can see has taken a variety of fantastic photographs ranging from our live performances to our practice in the studio.

We have a wide range of musical influences in our band, as we all have different musical tastes. Our influences range from The Libertines to Rage Against The Machine, The Sex Pistols to Nirvana. However, we never set out to sound like any of our influences, using our contrasting tastes to try and make a different sound. Mainly though we try and write fun, enjoyable music that we enjoy playing and people enjoy listening to.

On the live performance front we have played numerous gigs throughout Glasgow, with highlights being at the Cathouse and the Glasgow School of Art, to name but a few.

We are currently working on more songs and are hoping to record a new demo by the end of june.

We have also been played the Glasgow University online radio.
