The Family Quarles

The Family Quarles

A fun fiddling family band that is a kitchen party you'll never forget! A blend of Irish, Scottish, "old- tyme" Canadian and original fiddle tunes. The perfect band for a family festival, fair or corporate event.

The Family Quarles combines traditional fiddle music with original fiddles tunes and songs that tell stories with a bit of humour. Vocal and fiddle harmonies are running rampant in this band!

Influenced by Canadian fiddlers and bands such as Natalie MacMaster, Leahy, Barrage, Bowfire, Shane Cook, Ashley MacIsaac, Buddy MacMaster, Phil and Debbie Howes.

Out & About (the Canadian Song)

Written By: Don Quarles

We’ll take you out and about and let you see the country
While we’re out and about we can all sing along
Let’s go out and about, got to love this country
Come on and shout the Canadian song

Verse 1
Travel across a country so long and wide
By dog sled, Via rail or Bus
Atlantic and pacific oceans on each side
Come take this journey with us

Verse 2
With Great Lakes abound and ice cold streams
Temperatures that kind of make you shout
Northern exposure and rocky mountain dreams
The weather’s fine so come on out

Verse 3
Welcome to a place where you can swim and ski
Regardless of the time of the year
If you could only see what we can see
The answers to your questions would be clear
