Biography

I met a very talented and legendary producer who is interested in producing me - he has agreed to work at a massively discounted rate, but I still need money to work with him. That's why I'm entering this Diskmakers IMWS contest - never done it before... It seems like a really great opportunity that I hope we can be a part of. Anyway, I'm hoping to somehow get enough cash together to pay to reproduce the record with this producer - I have a bunch of other songs as well... we are going to pick the best of the whole bunch and make the best overall record we possibly can. Regardless if this contest goes anywhere for me, I'll probably do whatever it takes to come up with the money and go re-record - but every little bit is a big help - and it would be neat to be a part of something like the IMWS... well, looking forward to an amazing album! Anyway, my influences: Muse, The Cure, Radiohead, U2, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Slowdive, Bjork, tons of other stuff... I'll expand this section at some point. We would really love an opportunity to play at one of the showcases. - keeping fingers crossed!

Lyrics

say something

Written By: Todd Loomis

say something sweet into my ear - say something soft only i hear -
tell me you're mine for this one time
and I'll give you my world - I'll give you my world - I'll give you my love tonight

say something - some kind of starlight - say something close when we meet eyes - show me the songs that make your heart say "I haven't felt this in years", and I'll give you my world - I'll give you my world - I'll give you the stars endeared - so don't take your sapphires away - don't hide the light when they burn - what you send out I'll return

the stars were made for you

Written By: Todd Loomis

you left me thinking how the hell am I going to live through this - i don't know - and now, you're moving on quietly without me - it's like the stars were made for you - and surely some of heaven was too - not me remember

the wars have changed me - this life rearranged me - it's so hard to feel now with a heart full of scars - and now, I know you smile more without me - it's like the stars were made for you - and surely some of heaven was too - not me forever

i'm like leaves when they fall - and I'm like falling stars - just want to free my heart - break night with day - your gone, and i can't make you go away - i'm not the same - it's like the stars were made for you

seperation anxiety

Written By: Todd Loomis

i am only six years old - don't leave me lying here - where did grandpa go? - why are you all in tears? - you say he's passed away - and he isn't coming back again - don't leave me now - mother please

are we all the same - and do we follow there? i don't want to sleep like that - i feel so scared - you say we pass away, and maybe go to heaven - don't leave me now - mother please - don't leave

this room is filled with blood - it's flowing all around - and death is in the closet - i can't turn around - how can i look out - don't tell me he's not there somehow - beleive me now - mother please

don't leave - he's there - his fingers in my hair - i swear - i swear - i will never miss a prayer- i can feel him pulling down - my head is under water now - don't leave me now - mother please - don't leave
