Biography

Nominated as one of the best new bands by the Ozark Music Awards, The Fayetteville Funk Ensemble formed from an "all-star" conglomeration of some of the most highly regarded musicians in the Ozark Mountain region of Northwest Arkasas. Members of the Fayetteville Funk Ensemble include members from other notable bands from the region like Mountain of Venus, Eckobase, Deacon, The Sarah Hughes Band, and Humpback Jack. Musical influences include The Meters, Herbie Handcock, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Gallactic, Motown, The Beastie Boys, Led Zeppelin, Parliament Funkadelic, Steely Dan, and Michael Jackson. The result equates high instrumentation funk music with jazz, rock, r&b, reggae, and latin influences. The music/show renders a very appealing product for club owners and festival organizers. The Fayetteville Funk Ensemble is perfect for the dance/party audiences as well as the musical intellectual audiences.
