Bio

The Fifths are two guys from small town Saskatchewan who grew up on old school rock n' roll. While currently residing in Toronto, The Fifths still claim Saskatchewan as home and straddle both markets with a loyal and growing fan base in each.

While most two-pieces gravitate towards the blues, The Fifths make no bones about it: they are a rock n' roll band. Taking cues from their favourite vintage R&B, soul, and motown artists, The Fifths have a unique style as a modern two-piece rock band. People have described their upbeat, hooky style as "new old songs" that sound familiar the first time you hear them.

In 2012 the band put together a 5 track, no-frills, raw dosage of rock songs in their living room entitled "Hot Denim". The EP has gotten attention from various radio stations across Canada, specifically, Rawlco Radio in the prairies. Rawlco gave the band $10,000 for future recording as part of the 10k20 competition. The Second EP, "Scoundrels", was released in the summer 2013 and supported with a western Canadian tour, culminating in a CD release show at Toronto's iconic Lee's Palace.

One thing that audiences across the country agree on: for two guys, The Fifths sure make a lot of noise.
