The Fine Lines are a four-piece rock band whose members hail from around the country – San Francisco, Boston, North Carolina, and New York City. Matt Rogers (drums, 18), Brett Schlesinger (bass, 20), Samford Justice (vocals, 19), and Toby Black (guitar, 19), met in New York in December 2003, they have performed along the East Coast for the better part of three years, earning a reputation for their high energy live shows.

The Fine Lines entertain clubs that they would otherwise be too young to enter. Their shows have included sets at the Knitting Factory, Mercury Lounge, Don Hill’s, Pianos, Rothko, Sin-È, Arlene’s Grocery, Continental, Crash Mansion, Club Rare and Toad. They have also played at numerous festivals including CMJ Music Marathon (New York), M.E.A.N.Y. Fest (New York), and The Nemo Music Festival (Boston). The Fine Lines have also shared the stage with both national/international touring acts including The Blue Van, The Cloud Room, The Harlem Shakes, Surefire and The Fame.

On March 31st, 2006, the Fine Lines released their self-titled E.P. recorded in August 2005 at Studio Plateau in Montreal with Mark Lawson (The Arcade Fire, Islands) and Drew Malmud (Stars, Metric). The E.P. was mixed by Grammy-nominated producer Josh Wilbur, protégé to Andy Wallace, at Soundtrack studios in New York City. They are due to realease their first full length in February 2007 along with a national tour for the upcoming year..
