Bio

The Fineprint was formed in April 2008. In less than a year, the band has brushed the dust off a sleepy northern NJ music scene and effectively written their name all over it. The music pours out of the speakers in a stream of melodic continuity, exhibiting a command of their craft so discernable, an audience immediately realizes this trio has an uncommon view of modern American life and its music. Their single, Faded Ink, recorded in early 2009, conveys the energy and relevancy of this up and coming band.

Consisting of Chris Burns, guitar and vocals, Mike Finnochio, drums and vocals, with Bob LoMauro on bass, the band bolsters three different musical backgrounds and personalities. They are united, however with the common desire to perform. In fact, the primary focus of this group is to play out, at as many venues as possible, in order to gain exposure to an increasingly growing audience. Their current set list is well balanced, and blends original and cover material that spans four hours of music.

Determined to write songs of his own since the day he picked up a guitar, Chris Burns now finds his solo works being the foundation of The Fineprint’s repertoire. The front man of several bands hailing from New Jersey and Hartford, Connecticut, and most recently a solo singer/songwriter drifting through NYC dive bars, Burns put down the electric guitar and proceeded to develop a style of playing the acoustic reminiscent to the classical training he studied while at college. “When people tell you, ‘You make one guitar sound like two’, you know you’re on to something.” It was only an effort to fill in the gaps while lacking band members that this aggressive consonance of tones emerged. Songs like Blame and The Precipice of Greatness engage the listener right away, and most notably depict this style. Now recorded and backed by the band, the works reside prominently in the genre of Indie rock music.

Performing artist and drummer, Michael Finocchio, met Chris in April 08' and has since worked diligently to bring The Fineprint to the forefront of the rock and roll scene. Having worked with many different bands and theatre troupes in Jersey and Philadelphia, ranging from surf rock to classic rock to heavy metal groups, and playing leading roles in musicals, he's found his niche playing with The Fineprint. Michael's skills are melded beautifully to create the perfect balance to Chris' melodic guitar and vocal style with diverse rhythms and powerful harmonies.

Long time member of the punk rock and psychobilly scene, with a history of fast angry music in bands like The Tombstone Brawlers and American Barfight, Bob has returned to his rock-n-roll and jazz roots playing melodic and driving bass lines to compliment Chris and Mike’s unique styles. With over 20 years experience and a command of the 6 string bass, Bob is a force to be reckoned with forming the bottom end of this aspiring 3 piece ensemble.
