Biography
In early 2005, Mansfield, Ohio gave birth to a new generation of music that, according to the Mansfield News Journal, was like a sonic punch to the face. A quartet of young musicians rose out of the ashes of a group named Banned to form The Finest Hour, an Alternative Rock band who have been flooding venues in the Midwest music scene ever since. With their catchy hooks, delicate harmonies, bone-sawing riffs and stimulating lyrics they strive to be the voice of todays youth with the anthems of tomorrow.
Since their inception, The Finest Hour has been steadily building a vast fan base in Mansfield and has been branching out beyond their small corner of Ohio to perform their energetic live shows all along the Midwest. It doesnt matter if they play for one fan or a hundred; The Finest Hour always puts on amazing shows that leaves their fans weak in the knees and always wanting more.
During the summer of 2006, The Finest Hour recorded their five-song Demo with Mark Abrams at Dulcet Recording in Lexington, Ohio. Since that time the foursome has been working hard to get their music into the hands of as many people as possible through live shows, internet promotions, and radio play.
This summer The Finest Hour will be hitting the road in a five state tour that will cover Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, and Michigan in an attempt to expose themselves to a wider fan base. Please keep a look out for The Finest Hour in your area and come support this young, up-in-coming band.
Lyrics
When Thoughts Turn to Action
Written By: The Finest Hour
I never though I'd see the day
When same countries attack their own
Slay the innocent for the sake of themselves
Sinking into the sun
And I cant live without that salt we share
You know where it burns
Your words are the magnet
And my heart is the metal
Foreign soil borders between us
Send out your best line of defense
Brothers in the front lines take aim
The finger pulls but mind's like stone
And I cant live without that salt we share
You know where it burns
Your words are the magnet
And my heart is the metal
And I can't breath
and I can't move
And I can't breath
And I can't move
Slowly Killing your Second Chance

Those streaks in the sky
Are more than perfect lines
What all transmits
Is more than you'd admit
Just talk til dawn
Make something up as you go along
Give us
What we came for
Let me stand cold
Let me stand still
Lets rave about violence
And I'm your thrill
Let me give up
Let me give in
I'm begging this time
To let me win
Those streaks in the sky
Are more than perfect lines
What all transmits
Is more than you'd admit
Just talk til dawn
Make something up as you go along
Give us
What we came for
Let me stand cold
Let me stand still
Lets rave about violence
And I'm your thrill
Let me give up
Let me give in
I'm begging this time
To let me win
Let me stand cold
Let me stand still
Lets rave about violence
And I'm your thrill
Let me give up
Let me give in
I'm begging this time
To let me win
Let me stand cold, oh oh yeah
Let me stand cold, oh oh yeah
Let me stand cold

In the garden you sit with your guard up
Always looking for a sound to snatch from the air (from the air)
Our words will make it hard to speak
And the water will seem so comforting
(so comforting)
We are all alone
We are all alone
The soft light tries to keep me alive
I'm running out of reasons
To take another breath
Your patience is wearing
And i cant stop staring
The right time to deny
The secrets you have kept
The places you have slept
Your patience is wearing
And i cant stop staring
I was burned alive outside your window
On the very spot you said this was it
(this is it)
The sunrise will bring bad news again
With a headache from our last slow dance
(the last slow dance)
We are all alone
We are all alone
The soft light tries to keep me alive
I'm running out of reasons
To take another breath
Your patience is wearing
And i cant stop staring
The right time to deny
The secrets you have kept
The places you have slept
Your patience is wearing
And i cant stop staring
