Three pre-teen kids from Perth with rock and roll heritage are fast becoming the coolest new band of 2006! THE FLAIRZ brand of no nonsense, original rocknroll music has already gained them fervent fans in Australia where theyve cut their teeth in the live music scene by supporting the likes of Little Birdy, The Waifs, Shihad and The Living End. The Flairz have also enthused audiences of thousands of music lovers in 2005 playing at the Big Day Out, The St Kilda Festival, Sydneys Come Together Festival, Bass In The Grass Festival in Darwin and Alice Springs, and Perths famous Rock-It Festival in March.
THE FLAIRZ released their independent debut EP on November 15, 2004. The self-titled four track rocknroll excursion showcases the bands remarkable original song-writing abilities, musical upbringing and energy driven performances. The Flairz were the recipient of the Western Australian Song Of The Year-Primary Section for their song Sidewalk Surfer in 2004. The Flairz filmclip for Rock and Roll Aint Evil was released in May 2005 and featured on RAGE and Video Hits were it was a Hit Prediction.
And its not just Australians who are interested in these eager young rockers, RockNRoll Aint Evil, the lead track from the EP, has already been added to the play list and was voted as the coolest rock track in the world today on Little Stevens (Steven Van Zandt) syndicated underground garage rock show which airs to two million American listeners each week. www.littlestevensundergroundgarage.com
The track has also been added to New Zealands top rating radio station Channel Z and the Flairz are receiving airplay on Triple J, FBI radio Sydney, and RTRfm 92.1 in Perth made RockNRoll Aint Evil the record of the week.
THE FLAIRZ have arrived and John, Dion and Scarlett are ready to rock your world! Expect a lot more rock action from this young band, theyve already amassed a swag of new songs and an album is on the horizon for 2006.
The Flairz were a BUZZ band at SXSW 2006 and also performed at the Australian Music Showcase at The Troubador in LA.
The Flairz will be performing at Southbound Festival in 2007.
