Raised along the east coast and born in Washington, DC, The FLO has never been afraid to explore new horizons. The same also applies when you listen to his music. An avid reader and potent lyricist since the age of 9, people noticed that there was something special about the way he could put words together. From on stage performances, public speakings, to poetry readings and workshops, people from all walks of life would sing praises and accolades about the young man's creative ability. Heritage also played a part, coming from a family of grant-writers, poets and vocalists of the past few generations. However, it wasn't until the untimely death of his older cousin that motivated him to actively pursue a career in music. Countless hours were spent listening to all kinds of music: from old school and new school hip-hop, R & B, jazz and some gospel. Digital music courses earlier in life would open his sights into the realm of music production. After learning to use the studio equipment in his cousin's basement, he dedicated much of his free time into the wee hours of the morning making tracks and running recording sessions for local artists. In 2005 emerged a hip-hop and spoken word duo known to the masses as Precise Science, an independent cultural and informational tool that speaks for the oppressed and underpriviledged. After seeing and working with them to record two studio projects and establish their name, it was then decided that it was The FLO's time to shine. With much hard work and dedication, his solo project, "FLO Xpressionz, Vol. 1" debuts in Los Angeles. Copies are also available online and several bookstores in the Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC area now. At the tender age of 22, The FLO continues create lyrical and musical expression from the soul and personal experiences to edu-tain the mind and uplift the human spirit.
