Bio
The Float is a DIY electronic project. Its music is inspired by the past 25 years of indie electronic music, from Coldcut to Shigeto, or from early Downtempo to modern Glitch-Hop.
The Float is one of the music project created by Olivier Désir, Belgian composer and arranger. Here, he merges analog synths and circuit bent machines with modern sequencers to make a kind of "wonky music for scuba-diving" where we meet some mermaids twisted by some underwater slow beats.
With his past projects, Olivier played alongside people like Etienne De Crécy, Tom Middleton or Buscemi and performed warm-ups for bands like Royksopp or Air. He also made several collaborations, in particular with Samy Birnbach, singer of the mythic "Minimal Compact". Recently, he also arranged the forthcoming album of Michel Moers, ex Telex member, famous Belgian electropop trio.
