From the Thumb of Michigan comes a band that is all about following God. Although the band name came from Vanna White announcing the upcoming advertisements, the true meaning is much deeper. The Following: is made up of four musicians who enjoy making music as a way of giving glory to the one who has given them everything. With worshipful lyrics connected to a rock/funk/pop sound, this band hopes to inspire others to find hope and joy in the Lord.
While the group is serious about God, they keep in mind that God enjoys seeing his children having fun. The band hopes to enable others to have fun, as well.
Members:
Cameron Simpson produces the sweet bass lines. He lives in Cass City, MI and works at the local Little Caesar's. He lives with a friend and enjoys playing Xbox when not playing music or working. Brian Mohr keeps the beat on the drums. He is also from Cass City and is a senior in high school. He is involved in the school band and the worship band at Colwood United Brethren Church in addition to The Following:. Josh and Kassie Hill have been married for over three years and have moved around. They currently live in Harbor Beach with Josh's parents. Josh works as a parapro at the local high school, while Kassie attends classes at Delta College and both enjoy raising their two year old daughter, Aurelia.
Our Sound:
The Following’s wide range of influences include Kutless, Worth Dying For, Matt Moore, Spyro Gyra, Herbie Hancock, and The Afters. To really know what this band sounds like, you will have to take a listen. Enjoy the music!
