"Bill Hicks (Single Review)"

Bill Hicks is in the same vein as Trauma Town. This is rock with a commercial twist and contains strong melodies, a great hook guitar riffs aplenty. The track builds on the promise seen in Trauma Town and firmly establishes The Foxes as an up-and-coming band. - Entertainment Focus UK

"Gig of the week"

Cunningly fast indie rock'n'roll. - NME

"Live Review"

The Foxes perform an awesome set of super fast indie rock and roll with great melodies. Already well up on the rung on the new music scene ladder, these lads delivered a high energy set and performed as if it meant everything to them. "No Reply" was a great example of live music at it's best. - Red Stripe Music Awards

Bio

We formed in early 2006, through a shared love of making music that is exciting and original. We immediately started playing shows all over the UK and doing anything we could do get our music out there. Our first EP, which was limited to 500 CD’s and only sold at gigs got some great reviews and got us our first national radio play with Janice Long on BBC Radio 2.

In July 2008 we decided to start our own record label and our debut single “Trauma Town” was released that October on 7” Vinyl and download and reached No.9 in the UK Indie Charts. Our second single “Bill Hicks”, inspired by the late great American comic and fully supported by his family, was released in March 2009 and reached No.6 in the UK Indie Charts. "Lover, Killer" was our 3rd single and was released in August 2009 and received positive reviews from both NME and The Fly, the latter asking us to do a Courtyard Session for their website.

After seeing us play a show in Yeovil the record producer John Cornfield (Razorlight, Oasis, Muse, and Supergrass to name a few) approached us and said he would love to make our debut album at Sawmills, his studio in Cornwall. In January 2010 we recorded a 4 track EP with John at Sawmills which was released in the UK on May 17th and is called "Depression, Joy, and a Moment of Fame". We will be returning to Sawmills over the summer to work with John on our debut album.

What sets us apart from other artists is our complete devotion to what we do, which is to write songs that are both musically and lyrically interesting. To date we have played over 250 shows including shows in the USA, Czech Republic, Germany and Italy.
