Francesco Fonte: Childhood influences Aretha Franklin, Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, Sainkho, Lisa Gerrard and Demetrio Stratos have helped Francesco Fonte build his distinctive style. Singing and creating sounds in the large rooms of this South Italian family home, which consisted of huge empty rooms, where he could achieve natural echo effects. Illusica: At 14 his father introduced him to musical instruments starting with an old drum kit. Through family connection he was soon drafted into to a fully functioning working rock band Illuscia, of which he was the youngest member and within 1 year he stepped from behind the drums to become the bands lead singer and chief songwriter blending psychedelic rhythms and mysterious lyrics a trade market for his future musical structures. Projects: After travelling through Europe, where he experimented with a variety of musicians and styles, including solo acoustic work Francesco Fonte found himself in London, England where his collaborative projects including his rock based band Doublef8, which has toured England and Italy, the electro ambient band Moult and the release of their album the album Love And Flowers Come From The Universe. More recently Francesco has been experimenting with sound and atmospheric structures with avant-garde artist Northern Echoes under the name of 8echoes. The Francesco Fonte Band: The creation of the Francesco Fonte Band is a return to his rock based roots, mixing the influences he has picked up through out the years to create an exciting fusion of styles and textures.
