Graham's voice evokes PJ Harvey without mimicry... showcased nicely amongst the turntables, B-3's and clavinets... It'll sweep you up like the fall wind. - The Weekly Dig

Her blues-inflected rock is electric poetry, rock with emotion . . . [and a] snaky, tough groove. - Ink 19

Difficult to categorize, let's say it's modern, mesmerizing, slow, atmospheric alterna-groove rock, with a touch of blue. - Soundcheck

Franc is blessed with a stunning vocal delivery... a cross between Patti Smith and Lucinda Williams, which soars over a bed of low-end guitar riffs and atmospheric turntable interjections. - The Noise

Bio
Franc grew up with two 8-tracks that came with their used station wagon: Creedence and Cabaret. She learned each to the note but Creedence stuck to her bones. Five older sisters added Beatles, Armatrading and Cocker, Franc studied classical guitar as a teen in rural PA, played solo in Boston, and then started a band in 1990. The Franc Graham Band played to crowded rooms in Boston and Cambridge and recorded three albums. Lucinda Williams dubbed herself "a Franc Graham convert" when they played together in 2001. The band is sweet and deep and features such greats as Jerome Deupree (Morphine) on drums and Richard Gates (Dennis Brennan) on bass.
The band has been described as low rock, swamp rock, alt-americana, hillbilly hip, the lovechild of Lou Reed & Chrissy Hynde...
